To celebrate Adminstrative Assistant's Day I made this gift cake to say thank you for the gift our office staff is to us. It was iced with a faux fondant with dots made of Airhead candies and Skittles, then topped with ribbon and a card.

Coca Cola Bear Cake
Mom is a Coke girl through and through so to celebrate her 50th birthday I hosted a 50’s theme party complete with Coca Cola Smiles! The cake was a Coca Cola Polar Bear holding his coveted Coke sitting proudly atop a 50’s record. It was made to feed 50 and we still had people wanting to lick the plate! It was a yellow cake iced with both regular buttercream icing and chocolate buttercream.
b-a-b-y Cake
For Baby Monnich the school hosted a shower with polka dots galore. This cake was made to match the napkins for the shower which spelled b-a-b-y across various texture themed backgrounds. The blue cakes are buttercream covered with quick pour fondant on yellow cake, the orange cakes are buttercream and vanilla icing on Devils Food Cake.
Baby Blue Lambs and Stars Cake
Graduation Cupcakes
My Kindergarteners wanted to decorate for their graduation (the first of many I hope) with graduation caps which they were fascinated by! So to celebrate in their desired style I made these cupcake with rainbow colored tassels for their enjoyment along with a mini cake. The cupcakes were chocolate and yellow marble cake with chocolate icing, the mortar boards were made of chocolate covered graham crackers with Twizzler tassels anchored by M&Ms.
Little Einstein's Cakes
Little Einstein’s is popular these days with little ones so I have done two cakes of the magical rocket ship that transports the adventure seeking kids on the show. The first was for our God Son Isaiah when he turned one, the second for Kyle Hicks on his third Birthday. I wish I had found all the helpful ideas for the first one that spurred my imagination; I guess the popularity of this show has grown since I did Isaiah’s. The cake was iced with buttercream faux fondant, the wing tips were airheads, the rocket blast offs, the top antenna and the windows were also shaped airhead candies. The tunnels on the engines were mini oreos and the lights were mini marshmallows. Everything was edible and sugar filled – even the icing clouds surrounding the cake!
Patriotic Cakes
When Keegan worked at the Dwyer Group they did a big family Fourth of July Picnic every year. As part of the fun they had a cake decorating contest; these are two of the patriotic cakes I made. The first is a smiling Uncle Sam top hat iced with vanilla icing. The second one is an eagle head with feathers made of cut marshmallows and coco puffs.
His and Hers Wedding Cake
Lingerie Cakes
The white lingerie cake was the first shaped cake I ever made. I made it for my fiend Lisa’s lingerie shower. It was iced with white chocolate icing and the lace trim was made of white chocolate dipped strawberries. The straps and ribbing was created using Twizzlers candies. The chocolate one was a two piece lingerie set of chocolate for another lingerie shower. The décor was marshmallow.
Purple Tulip Cake
Choclate Mint Cake
The summer that I discovered how much I enjoyed not only cooking fun foods but doing cakes to – this cake was the first. It started with me finding a chocolate mint recipe that made my think of my friend Lisa so I made it for her birthday. From there this cake has won awards for best tasting and has been used just about every Christmas. It is Chocolate Devils Food cake layered with mint cream between the layers. The entire cake is then iced with chocolate icing and toped with shaved Andes Mints. Another twist on this cake is a layered torte dessert with chocolate ganache drizzled on top with Mint shavings.
Lace and Roses Wedding Cake
This was my first wedding cake. It was made to honor the marriage of my mother-in-law and Clayton Breckenridge. The cake was traditional white cake with almond flavoring iced with buttercream icing. The large lace pattern was hand done keeping it unique. The black trim was ribbon and the flowers stripped roses on top with petals between the layers.
